This is my minimalist dream protein powder. One ingredient, no sweeteners, no aftertaste. I flavor it myself depending on the mood — matcha, cocoa, cinnamon — and it never clashes. Blending or giving it extra mixing time helps a lot.
This has been great for keto shakes because it doesn’t add carbs or sweetness. I blend it with almond milk and nut butter and it turns into a real meal. On its own it’s not exciting, but that’s kind of the point.
I specifically wanted something that works in savory recipes and this actually does. I’ve whisked a little into soups (off heat) and even mixed some into scrambled eggs and it came out fluffy. Smoothies are fine too, but the savory flexibility is what makes it stand out.
This has been surprisingly good in oatmeal and overnight oats. The trick is to mix it with a splash of cold liquid first, then stir it in, otherwise it can clump. No eggy taste, no sweetness, and it makes breakfast way more filling without changing my usual toppings.
This has been a meal-prep win for quick breakfasts. I make overnight oats and banana pancakes on Sundays and add this in, and it keeps me from getting hungry mid-morning. Even my kids didn’t notice it in pancakes, which is rare.
